Gorgeous Gourds was inspired by a visit to Grand Valley State University. We were visiting our son, who was a student at the time. We always make sure we visit the many farms around the West Michgian/Grand Rapids area and we stumbled upon a field of gourds at just the right time — there were all types growing, from green to white to orange. I adored their vines, stems and blossoms and literally sat in the field with them absorbing their splendor and snapping photos aplenty! Later I created this pattern based on the photos I took in the field that day. The fabric is from North Carolinia. The scarf is sewn in Michigan. It is crepe de chine/chiffon and is colorfast and washable! It comes in two sizes: 34” x 52” and 26” x 69”. This pattern also comes in cotton/linen tea/bar towels, table runners, cocktail napkins, dinner napkins, note cards, giftwrap and more.
