I love the combination of yellow and blue and thought this blend would make an amazing pattern. Incorporating pretty blue-and-white ginger jars/vases with bright, sunny daffodils makes a pleasant motif. The scarf is sewn in Michigan. It is 26” x 69”. It is chiffon and is colorfast and washable!
The story behind the pattern: Tales of Belle Isle 3: I’d been invited to sell my wares at Daffodils4Detroit (on Belle Isle in Detroit), a fundraiser that makes Belle Isle and cityscapes beautiful in Detroit with the planting of hundreds of daffodil bulbs by dozens of volunteers. I wanted to showcase these gorgeous daffodils in a new pattern for this event and contemplated what goes well with yellow … BLUE, of course. I’ve always loved blue-and-white china/dinnerware, so bingo! The Daffodils and Ginger Jars pattern was born!
