Watercolor Journaling Series, Mondays, Dec. 29, Jan. 19, Feb. 2, Feb. 23, March 9, 6-7 p.m. EST, on Zoom.
All you need is an inexpensive watercolor journal, a pen, and watercolor paints and brushes to put your heart on paper this winter. Join us as we embark with pen and brush on a watercolor painting “trip” that takes us to our own back yard,, into the sky, to our front door, along a tree branch, into the kitchen, or you name it, all on ZOOM!
No art, writing, or drawing skills are required.
This loose-format hour is sure to de-stress you and put you in the moment as we observe our relationship with a subject with pen, brush, and pretty colors. At each session, I will demonstrate a journaling technique and then we will share (optional) our works from a previous class. We’ll practice writing (optional, can just be a recording of observation, date, etc.) a passage, poem, note, expression that pairs with our art. Each class includes prompts that you can consider for the future.
Once you sign up, I will send an email with suggestions for journals (and other simple supplies) for purchase at various local shops or online, or you can make your own.
I normally record classes so if you can’t make one, you’ll receive a recording if all goes well, tech-wise. I also follow up with a review of the class and info. for the next one.
